Empowering China’s Intelligent Manufacturing with the “Zhaohe Solution” Shanghai Zhaohe’s Deep Involvement in the Modern Construction of China’s Domestic Large Luxury Cruise Ships

On January 6, 2026, the second episode of Jiangsu Satellite TV’s large-scale documentary series The Great Path Forward — Exploring Chinese-Style Modernization was broadcast nationwide. The program focused on domestically built large luxury cruise ships, a powerful symbol of China’s leap forward in high-end equipment manufacturing. During this modern voyage showcasing the strength of “Made in China” and the vision of shared prosperity, Shanghai Zhaohe Ventilation Engineering Co., Ltd. was honored to participate as a key contributor and to receive an in-depth on-site interview by the program team.

In the interview, General Manager Ji Decai noted that China’s first domestically built large cruise ship, Adora Magic City, equipped with ventilation systems supplied by Shanghai Zhaohe, has successfully set sail, carrying the expectations of the Chinese people toward the open seas. Meanwhile, construction of the second domestically built large cruise ship, Adora Flower City, has progressed beyond 86% and has entered a critical late stage. With a gross tonnage of approximately 142,000 tons, an overall length of 341 meters, and a height of 73 meters—equivalent to a 24-story building—the ship can accommodate more than 5,000 passengers.

Mr. Ji emphasized the central role of ventilation systems in shipbuilding, likening them to the “lungs” and part of the “nervous system” of a vessel. Given the relatively enclosed nature of cruise ship spaces, construction standards are exceptionally demanding. Temperature, humidity, airflow velocity, and air cleanliness must be precisely controlled, while the system must also ensure stable and reliable operation under all severe sea conditions.

Shanghai Zhaohe is deeply honored to contribute its expertise to enhancing the global image of “Made in China.” This achievement not only demonstrates Zhaohe’s technical strength, but also reflects our sense of responsibility and commitment to national strategies and to the development of a modern industrial system.

The program profoundly illustrates that Chinese-style modernization is a people-centered modernization aimed at shared prosperity. As mobile “cities at sea,” Adora Magic City and Adora Flower City are vivid embodiments of this理念. They not only fulfill people’s aspirations for a better travel experience, but also represent the concentrated achievements of China’s shipbuilding industry in integrated innovation and high-end manufacturing.

Looking ahead, Shanghai Zhaohe will continue to focus on the field of high-end equipment manufacturing, adhere to innovation-driven development, and deliver more advanced technologies and more reliable products. We are committed to the professional development of cruise ships, high-grade passenger vessels, and marine engineering projects, providing comprehensive air-side HVAC solutions—from product R&D and system design to ventilation duct systems. Through this, we aim to contribute “Zhaohe Wisdom” and the “Zhaohe Solution” to China’s shipbuilding and marine engineering industries, and to the global market as well.

On the great path toward modernization, we look forward to embarking with you on an even more magnificent voyage, contributing “Zhaohe Power” to the industrial ecosystems of regional development.

From supporting the maiden voyage of the first giant cruise ship to safeguarding the solid construction of the second, Shanghai Zhaohe resonates in step with the development of China’s luxury cruise industry. We extend our sincere thanks to Jiangsu Satellite TV’s The Great Path Forward for documenting and sharing this story of dedication and achievement within China’s industrial sector, allowing it to be widely witnessed and celebrated.
